  • Quite a different experience in Iceland. A forest! The rock walls in the canyon are fascinating and the lake at the very end is a serene place. Well worth a visit.

  • Tripadviser marks it in the wrong place. We saw it after Dettifoss, approaching via road 862. You can go into the canyon with car and then in the middle, there is a parking lot. It's a very cozy...

  • We stayed for fewer than 8 hours, so maybe my review is not that helpful. The hiking is nice, the facilities were clean, the canyon is uniquely beautiful with trees, flowers, and shrubs. I'd go back!
  • Amazing place with stunning landscapes. It feels like stepping back into prehistory, you expect dinosaurs to appear anytime. Short trip to Dettifoss and Husavik from this place. Reccomend the camping site if you are so inclined
  • Super stunishing nature phenomena. I recommend to visit this place early in the morning, so there are no or almost no tourists yet. There is a parking lot close, so it is an easy short hike. The cliffs are breathtaking and super high. The small wood like really fabulous. Also there is a small platform up a few stairs so you get a great view of the whole area and can directly look up the cliff. (There is a warning on the path that you go it on your own risk as there could be stones falling down the cliff at any time, but you are allowed to)
  • Magnificent nature and scenery with a nice golf course for those who play the sport. The nature and walking paths were easy to navigate and we were blown away by the natural beauty in Ábyrgi.
  • One of my favorite stops on the north side of my little island. Gorgeous all year round, path through the trees and the pond at the end always feel magical. A must see if anywhere close by ✨
