Established in 2014, Búlandstindur ehf is a small family run company, owned by locals, who have a vast experience in fishing and fish processing. Their persistence, dedication and hard-work has made the operation of the fish plant possible.

Búlandstindur is located in Djúpivogur, a small fishing village in the East of Iceland, and a prime location for fishing. Departing from the harbour, boats can quickly approach one of the richest fishing grounds in the world, providing the company with high quality fresh fish.

  • Looks like a pyramid and has a perfect shape. So many mountains in Iceland but this one’s shape and size makes it unique. Easily visible from a pullout on Hwy 1. Worth a photo.

  • Nice photo op on the Ring Road drive but I would never recommend to make a special trip here. Its pyramid shape is somewhat unique but this is just another scene in Iceland, soon forgotten in 30...

  • You can make a quick stop to take some photos of this uniquely shaped mountain, but beyond that there's nothing really special to it
  • Beautiful formation, looks like a pyramid.
