  • Maybe my favorite waterfalls! They are so gorgeous and water just coming out everywhere into the river in small and big waterfalls. Breathtaking!
  • Hraunfossar ( Lava Falls ) is in Borgarfjorour distric a majestic series of waterfalls streaming out of the Hallmundarhraun lava field and is right next to Barnafoss ( children falls ) also close by is Viogelmir the longest Cave in Iceland. There is different trails that gave you multiple point of view of the falls and I like the contrast of colors the black lava rock with the turquoise blue waters. You can walk both waterfalls easily in less than an hour. I probably recommend to come early if you want to avoid the crowds seen is relatively close to Reykjavik around 1 hour and 40 minutes drive and right by the Ring road so is an easy access to everyone.
  • The fall colors in October were stunning, and the hraunfossar was a sight to behold. The water seemingly coming from nowhere, the mini waterfalls line the bank and made for a great view. Easy walk and multiple spots to get different views.
  • This was the most amazing place we visited in Iceland. It was very beautiful and breathtaking. The pristine blue water seemed out of the world. The cafe nearby served delicious food!
  • Its a different experience to see small multiple small falks comethrogh lava field and make a cascade of falls. There is restaurant next to water fall which offers buffet.
