  • The best tour we did in Iceland and the highlight of our trip. Worth every effort to get there. You are given full immersion suits and head out to the zodiacs for a one hour tour of the ice lagoon. You get up close to the glacier snout and can hear and see the ice calving. Our guide Tamara was not only excellent but extremely knowledgeable re the glaciology. After the snout we headed off to see the basking seals and take in some of the bergs great tour and really professionally well managed.
  • We really enjoyed our tour! We lucked out with the weather, the wind was really calm and there was a beautiful fog drifting over the glacier. The weather would really be the biggest variable with this trip. Our guide was great and funny, helped us with lots of facts and information about the area to make the trip really enjoyable. Super glad they provided the windproof/waterproof suits to keep us warm the entire time. Overall it was a great trip and I would recommend it to anyone in the area, great way to see the glacier up close!
  • Visited May 2022. Paid a little more to take the zodiac boat. Totally worth it. Once in a lifetime experience. Warm suit will be provided and its an experience just getting into it - simple and has lots of pockets. Definitely keeps one warm, you don't even need to wear your coat under it. The boat ride was amazing, speeding on the lake and going so close to the glaciers. Was such a treat to catch some seals chilling on the ice too. Wonderful.
  • We drove ourselves here, it's really easy to find and parking is free. We had a sunny day and wore our fleeces under the dry suit they provided, hat and gloves would also be recommended. The trip was fantastic and well worth it! The guide explained how the icebergs are different every time they go out. Lots of opportunities for photos. The glacier is slowly retreating (300m per year) so eventually it will be gone ...
  • We got there and the weather was terrible and so the tour had to be cancelled. Fortunately they allowed us to reschedule free of charge or get a refund. We rescheduled for the next day and the weather was amazing. We booked the zodiac tour. The tour guide was excellent, really lovely and informative. We saw two seals one of them was right next to the boat. We even heard an iceberg breaking and the guide sped to the area so we could see the breakage. The scenery was spectacular, really something amazing full of glaciers. Must visit.well worth the money!!
