The owner took us out to go whale watching, but unfortunately, the waves were higher than expected. So we ended up taking a quick ride over to some cliffs and watched the seagulls/looked for puffins. He was also kind enough to give me a ride to the airport because we had extra time and I think he's planning on refunding us anyways. Anyways, an awesome experience even though we didn't see any whales. Super nice guide

I have been on this tour and the scenery is beautiful. We did not see any whales but I saw some beautiful artic birds. The owner told me that next time I am in Iceland I can come for free on his boat. It was a nice and almost private tour. In the evening I went with the same company on a northen light tour we were not lucky because there were clouds and not much aurora activity. The owner did his best to find it. Next time I can try again for free. The funny thing from this tour is that I saw all the tourbuses from Reykjavik on the same spot and they did not see it either and they had to drive much further to come to here. So I recomend this company because than you do not have to drive up and down. You have more time for the actual trying to find the aurora.

Whale Watching Reykjanes was a beautiful experience. We went on August 15, 2018. Our Captain, Gudmunder Hjortur was fantastic. He found the Minke Whales shortly after we left the harbor in Keflavik and we cruised up the coast towards Gardour. On the trip we saw many Minke Whales and many sea birds. We had a beautiful rainbow to follow for most of the ride. Then we encountered a Humpback Whale. It let us come close to him for a long period. It was an unbelievable experience. The ride was smooth. The whole experience was great. I would do this again when I return to Iceland.

What a great experience! Unfortunately we did not see any whales our first trip. Apparently there had been a fireworks show the night before and one was let off in the harbor. There were no whales and no fish either! They let us come back the next weekend and we saw several Minke whales. We now realize how unusual it is for there to be no whales in the harbor. There were 6 of us on the first tour and 12 on the second. I like how this tour company does not appeal to large groups like the tours out of Reykjavik. There is plenty of room to move around the boat as the whales are spotted. Our captain was an avid birder and spotted a soot-colored shearwater which is usual for the area. He snapped a couple of great photos. The boat has both an interior bit and large deck you can move between as the weather changes. They provide warm floatation suits which were awesome. They are quick to communicate and super friendly. I would definitely return and would recommend.

Fantastic trip yesterday (2 April) saw three humpback whales. One swam alongside about 30 metres from the boat and just showed off for about 20 minutes. Rolled over and waved fins at us. Dived several times showing its tail, then leaped right out of the water five or six times. The most incredible experience. Ever. Great skipper, knows what he's doing. Its a small boat which just brings you closer to nature. Judith UK 3rd April 2018
