Arctic Adventures, Reykjavik

This trip was excellent from beginning to finish. I went with my boyfriend to Iceland, and this 6-day trip was a phenomenal way to see all of the most impressive sights all along the coast of the entire country. There were so many stunning waterfalls and hikes we got to do, and the excursions were so fun! I loved starting off with the Golden Circle to see all the “classic” beauty of Iceland, and then I loved the trip to the geysers, volcanic craters, and whale watching too! Our tour guide, Sole, was absolutely amazing and really made the trip memorable for us. He went above and beyond for our tour group to make sure we were all happy and got to see everything we wanted without feeling rushed, and since he grew up in Iceland, it was nice to hear what it was like growing up for him and his personal connections to some of the sights we saw, as well as teaching us some fun facts about Icelandic language and culture along the way. Our group included sixteen people from a wide range of ages, and everyone vibed really well and had a blast. This tour did involve a decent level of outdoor activity. We did a lot of walking along breath-taking landscapes and trails in particular (my favorite was the glacier hike!), which I enjoyed but may be tricky for others.

I took the six day tour around Iceland and it was really terrific, giving us a glimpse of the key sights in Iceland. Our guide was very accommodating and gave us insight into life in Iceland. The accommodation was excellent and the food too. Just to note for others, this trip was full on, and quite exhausting, and because it's only six days covering so many sights there is only a very short time at each location, which was disappointing. I think this tour sets you up beautifully for a return trip. Still, this was one of the best trips I've ever taken and I highly recommend it, especially for solo travellers, first timers or those short on time.

We’ve used this tour company twice now (2018 and 2022) and can’t recommend them enough. Our tour guide, Gunnarr, was phenomenal. He was so wonderful, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. He showed us places that had a special meaning to him, which made the tour all the more meaningful and intimate. He played us Icelandic songs that told stories of the areas we were in as well. It was a whole cultural experience! The tour itself was 6 nights long around all of Iceland. It was a lot to see and sometimes we wish we had more time but, in the end, it was perfect. We had a group of young kids that helped bring color to the trip too. Their liveliness brought us more laughter and our group closer together. 10/10 recommend for first time or two in Iceland and then recommend a renting a car the following times so you can spend as long as you want in specific areas.

We went on an incredible 6 day tour around the island! It was seriously magical and adventurous and felt like such a unique experience! It definitely helped that our guide, Hjalti, was super knowledgeable and told really interesting stories and facts about Iceland’s history and geology. He felt like family by the end of the tour!

We went on an iceberg lagoon boat ride and it was amazing! Our guide got us nice and close to the icebergs and glacier. She was very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about teaching us and getting us some of the best views possible. The tour itself was in a small boat with only about 5 of us. It was perfect and I would definitely book again!
