Katla Whale Watching, Reykjavik

We had a great time on our whale watching trip with Katla. The whole team was very friendly. The process of getting suited up and on the boat was very well explained and easy. Even with a little rain at the end we were perfectly comfortable throughout with the gear provided. Our guide was fun and did a great job talking about everything we were seeing and what was happening. Most importantly, we saw lots of Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, dolphins, Puffins, and other birds. Thanks for a fun whale watching trip!

We had a brilliant experience. The process of suiting up was easy and well explained. The equipment can be used free of charge and you won’t get cold (waterproof bodysuit, life west, goggles and gloves). We even got a neck buff with the Katla logo to keep us warm as a present to take home with us. The guide is very friendly and answers all the questions. We saw a minke whale who circled our boat for about 10-15 minutes. We also saw dolphins up close and a humpback whale a bit further away. The boat stops at puffin island and at Harpa concert hall, too. We had a great time with a lot of sea life very close to us, due to going out in the ocean on a rib speed boat. Even the ride itself was worth the trip. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour! :)

Super fun experience with Katla Whale Watching! We were lucky enough to be able to observe Minke's whales and a pod of dolphins. It is a magical experience. This company is led by a father-son operation. I stayed warm in the suit's they gave us and the rib boat ride itself was pretty fun! Go with Katla for a great time!

Rib boat tour was spectacular. Pieter and the captain were great. While we saw minke and humpback whales, sightseeing can be hit or miss. Either way the experience itself was well worth it. Highly recommended.

A fantastic few hours, 10 miles out on the North Atlantic. The father (captain) / son (guide) duo were friendly, knowledgeable and engaging on all questions. Before we headed out, they explained the trip in detail, and the various sea-life that we could see. They did not disappoint, we started with Puffins, then on sped out into the Ocean and we’re fortunate enough to see Minke Whales, Humpback, & Porpoises. Great experience and highly recommend Katla Whale Watching.
