The Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum
Established in 2001, The Heritage Centre & Aerospace Museum offers a chance to learn about humanity's efforts to conquer the skies and explore space. As you arrive in the first major hall, check out the photographs that document the gradual development of aviation throughout history. The second major hall houses a cross-section of airplane engines, including marks like Garrett, Orpheus, and Adour, clearly showing each element's function. After observing all sorts of aircraft models and components on display, try out the motion simulator to experience flying a fighter jet. Besides the showrooms and exhibits, you can also visit the children's play area, herbal garden, orchidarium, and gift shop. A very pleasant experience. Good for families and kids. Its a great feel to see all the Jets and Helicopters made in India and the progress we made in aviation. Unfortunately Simulators are closed so couldn't experience. A small cafeteria serving snacks and plenty of place under trees to eat and enjoy. We can cover it in 2 to 3 hours. If you are in hurry can be covered in an hour too. Must visit.

If you're obsessed with aeronautics and fighter jets, or engines, this is surely a heaven for you. With a minimal entry charge, you would really get an in-depth glimpse of the journey HAL has undertook right from its inception. It's really wonderful seeing and touching and feeling the progress HAL has taken up over all these years. The museum is very well maintained and also neatly designed. Surely give this a visit.

It's a pretty good museum to visit, whether you're a fan of planes or not. Surprisingly it was free the day I visited, so that was a nice surprise. Lots of aircraft on display, and some engines also displayed inside, along with a long gallery with important moments in HAL and Indian aerospace history. There is also a simulator(which has a separate ticket) but I sadly didn't have time to try it out.

Very good experience as a uni student. I feel kids will enjoy more than adults. Though some novel exhibits are intriguing as well for elderly. The museum showing the entire history of HAL requires some serious interest and patience 😅. Restrooms are available as well as a small cafeteria. Well maintained, plus discounts for students! 4.5/5

Very good museum of aerospace on the Old Airport Road. They have various historic fighter and trainer planes, helicopters on display. The heritage centre section has good amount of photos depicting the military aviation history of India. The museum can be improved with audio-visual shows, interactive contents etc. Also, the authorities charge 20/- extra (as of Dec 2022) for each person’s mobile phone even though it’s kept switched off. Parking can be done at the nearby HAL convention centre area.
