Located on a busy road, Ulsoor Subramanya Temple offers a peaceful respite from the city bustle. Though crowded during festivals, the old temple is otherwise neatly kept and quite serene. The main sanctum sanctorum is dedicated to Lord Murugan, but the temple boasts separate smaller shrines devoted to the consorts of Muruga and other Hindu deities, such as Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of beginnings, and Durga, a goddess of war. In front of the temple you can buy offerings off the fruit and flower stalls.
