Admire the eclectic stone sculptures in The Rock Garden of Chandigarh, a spacious park and outdoor exhibition space featuring an array of art pieces made entirely out of recycled materials. The project was created in 1957 as a hobby of local government official Nek Chand, who collected junkyard materials from around the city. Exploring the park, today a landmark of Chandigarh, you can view thousands of charming statues made from broken glass, cement, and other discarded materials. Pretty unique and haven't seen something like this elsewhere. It's pretty huge so there's quite a bit of walking to do it you go in. Lots of waterfalls and status could be seen here. There's even a doll museum inside which is pretty cool. Overall it's quite fun for all age groups. Do visit when the weather is quite pleasant and you can easily spend 2-3 hours inside. There's no restaurant inside so do go in post having something to eat.

Timings Summer 1st April - 30 September 9 am to 7 pm Winter 1st October- 31st March 9 am to 6 pm Entry fees Adults ₹30 ( per person) Children ₹10 ( per head) ( Giving change is helpful) The place is wonderfully designed. There are many things to explore inside, like The Doll museum, laughing mirrors, a small aquarium, and big swings. The rock structures are beautifully craved and are a delight to watch. There are many places to take good pictures. Be very careful of your head as the gates are very low. You need atleast 2 hours to explore the place completely. Great place to bring your family and children for a fun day. The parking is chargeable.

Nestled in the middle of a busy city the rock garden was a peaceful place to visit. It’s has ample parking space and entry fee of INR 30 for adults and 10/- for kids. It’s a typical tourist spot but not well maintained for tourists at all. Maintenance of the overall place is pretty poor and the sculptures are also not well taken care of. It is def a good piece of art with a lot of detailing and would have been a beautiful place to visit with better upkeep. The facilities are not clean either. It is a walk through narrow pathways into a maze like structure that opens up into huge open spaces. The detailing on the sculptures, the moulding of the trees and roots into designs and utilization of different kinds of rocks to form beautiful looking rock art is worth going to see… but don’t have very higher expectations from this place. :(

My first time visit and the experience was great. It was exhausting because of the heat but it is worth visiting. It's spectacular to see whole thing just made with rocks , it's amazing. Ticket price is also good. The park is so peaceful and calm you can spend some quality time alone or with friends. A must visit place in Chandigarh.

The place is created using waste materials . Various sculptures are carved out using waste materials. One advise one should Mind their head as gates are very small . Artificially created 2 waterfalls are there. One require approximately 2 hours to explore the place fully. Good place to take your kids. Whole lots of eating options are available outside . There is no parking fees .
