Create an itinerary including Dwarkadhish Temple
A Hindu shrine dedicated to Krishna, Dwarkadhish Temple consists of a large, 5-storey building supported by over 70 pillars. Possibly over 2,000 years old, the temple was enlarged in the 16th century--it allegedly sits on the site of Lord Krishna's residential palace, erected by the god's grandson Vajranabha. • Very poor management. Firstly, parking is very far from temple, you needs to walk through dirty market to reach Temple. You will find lots of garbages around it. When you reach Temple then prepare to stand in multiple queues. 1st one is to submit your mobile phones, electronic watches and luggage. Once done, then stand in another long queue to deposit your shoes. Now, third queue is to enter temple. Depending upon seaso you may end-up standing for an hours. Police personals don't know how to manage crowds. During my visit they were busy providing treatment to the VIP Guests who was an IG. There is a separate queue for Male and Female, so you will not be with your family in Temple. Once you enter core of Temple, you will feel lost as you don't know from where male queue will start. There is no signed board or clear demarcation. Ppl will come in between queues and even you will find females in Male queues too. Too much rush and poor management. Goddess Krishna is very beautiful, so don't miss that.
  • This is a holy Hindu temple.Lord Siva Temple. Also a big Statue out side the temple.
  • Loved the place. Absolutely stunning. The whole city is a relief in itself. The temple is spellbounding. Absolute mesmerizing. The narmada river at the back just steals the show. Alot many temples surrounding the makn temple. Also, the 4 vedas are kept there. Only problem is the crowd management in the main temple. Needs to be improved.
  • Great temple of lord krishna, very peaceful & devine atmosphere ,nice & well maintained beautiful temple
  • It's an old temple. Even rickshaw drivers aren't aware of its location. It's a walkable distance from Bala Hanuman mandir though.
