Pirotan Island, Jamnagar

A great place to see marine life. But here it is advised to go with a guide. It's fun to walk along the beach around the island at low tide. Here you can see corals along with crabs, octopus and puffer fish.

Must visit for school college. Takes a whole day to visit. You can see mangrove forest with good sea animals Keep basics like water and food with your self. PLEASE KEEP ISLAND CLEAN. Needs prior permission to visit.

At a distance of 10 km from Jamnagar Railway Station, Pirotan Island situated in the Gulf of Kutch Near Jamnagar. It is one of the beautiful islands in Gujarat and among the top places to visit in Jamnagar. Spreads over an area of 3 Sq.km, Pirotan Island is one of 42 islands which compose the first Marine National Park in India. It is one of the two island in the Marine National Park opened for tourists, other one being Narara Island.

I really Loved this place... came to know how Biological diversity can be so vast in such a small ecosystem... A must visit place. Although due to environment concerns this place is restricted for common people now. May be soon it will get open.
