This is a place with less crowd and easy to visit. . A place where we can find God Shiv in a different form: No Snake Garland, No Ganga/Moon as Crown; but as a Normal Human Being. . Really good place to visit in Madurai.

One of the most beautiful temples in temple City madurai. One of the hidden gems. This is the place where lord Shiva & Meenakshi, they themselves worshipped a lingam which is facing west. The temple could have been maintained better. Cleanliness is 1 out of 5. Not a big temple but such a divine one. One can easily find their inner peace here. Such a calm and not too much crowd. Over all, belive in him and for sure he will help u in your tough times. Om namashivaya.

Hidden gem of a temple in Madurai.. Must visit Temple in Madurai very near by to Meenakshi Amman Temple. Better go by walk, 2 Wheelar or Auto. will be so congested if you try to go via car.

Oldest Shiva temple in Madurai. The Moolavar is unique - Lord Shiva with Amman in kalyanakolam worshipping Shiva Linga in front of them. (The Shiva Linga on square base is in reverse direction). Temple requires better upkeep and renovation.
