Create an itinerary including Hidimba Devi Temple
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Hidimba Devi Temple, a sanctuary in the Himalayan foothills dedicated to a deity from the Sanskrit epic Mahabharata. Dating back to the 16th century, the temple was built over a massive, jutting rock, a manifestation of the earth goddess. Interestingly, devotees here pay their respects to the lark rock, instead of an image of the deity. Admire the tall wooden tower and the sacred stone inside, or enjoy the atmosphere of the exterior, surrounded by a tranquil cedar forest. With our international travel planner, Manali attractions like Hidimba Devi Temple can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • This temple is situated not far from the town of Manali. We can navigate the busy streets to get to the temple. Long trees surround the temple, making for attractive photo backdrops.

  • Heritage of the temple still maintained. Good place to take pictures. There are yak ride also, which you all can enjoy. The place is situated amidst a deadar forest. It feels serene. Visit for worship. The place is good to spend time peacefully. Weekends are crowded. Prefer weekdays. There are 2 entrances for the premises. Opt for the one with ramp rather than the stairs if you have old aged visitors with you. I'm posting pictures of the views around, parking and the temple itself.very nice place! !

  • You will find peace of mind visiting this temple. The path to temple is so peaceful and covered with long deodar trees with sun rays coming from them is just beautiful. The main part of the temple is it is still in its old beauty with no major changes to structure. There is a market outside the temple area where you can buy Manali local shawls, caps and paintings. Must visit if you are in Manali.
  • One of the best tourist place in Manali. - It is a very beautiful place. It was build many centuries ago but still in very good condition. - It is surrounded with deodar trees. - It is very peaceful place. - You can enjoy Yak riding, can take photos in local attire and with rabbits in very reasonable price.
