  • First tip I want to give is that you should try to reach early. Close to 8 clock atleast. Otherwise you might end up in traffic jam (mostly in peak season). Brush up on your bargaining skills. You...

  • Words are not enough to explain the beauty of Solang valley, it was away from the city and offered everything that we need to spend a whole day with snow. We hired a taxi from.Nehru kind bridge and reached Solang in less than 30 minutes, as there was a snow fall last night and the crowd was a bit less compared to the normal days. There was fresh snow everywhere we could enjoy every minute. We took a cable car to reach the top of Solang valley and the view from the top was majestic. Snow, snow and more snow is what we could see everywhere, the view of Solang village and the snow capped mountains was splendid, unfortunately there was no paragliding due to the heavy snowfall. But there were other snow activities, there were a lot of eateries around where we ate good lunch, sitting on the road side shops and having Maggy looking at the mountains was amazing in experience. There was a restaurant at the top of the mountain, but they were not accepting any upi or cards, but only the cash. So we had to come down by afternoon as My mom was there with me and she wanted to have some hot tea and lunch. Also, the washrooms were not operational, they charged 650 for the cable car to go to the top, but hasn't kept any good facilities which one can use. I did a hike for about 2000 meters, and returned as the altitude was high. We clicked some good pics below the mountains, played in the snow, tried skating and came back with a lot of memories for life. Overall it was heavenly beautiful and we loved every second we spent there.
  • Solang Valley in Manali is a picturesque destination surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush green forests. The valley is famous for its adventure sports activities like skiing, paragliding and horse riding, which attract many tourists throughout the year. Solang Valley is also an excellent place for camping and trekking, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. However, the place can get crowded during peak season, and visitors should take necessary precautions while participating in adventure sports. Overall, Solang Valley is a must visit place for adventure seekers and nature lovers visiting Manali.
  • It's a great place to experience the finest of adventures such as zip lining, zorbing, swing, etc But make sure to not take the activities package before going to solang valley. They actually double the price for everything. Just purchase the tickets for activities in the valley itself. And about food there is an awesome Maggi stall infront of zip lining. Make sure you try it! Enjoy !
  • Amazing place to visit during the winter. The area is bustling with activities and tourists. There is enough snow to play around all day. The activities have high asking price but can be negotiated (except the paragliding). Personally I didn't like the ATV ride as the operators are least bothered to make you have a good time. Do visit the area marked as "paragliding centre" to reach the hub of all activities during winter time.
  • The best part about this place is its route from Manali to this place. Beautiful route with views of the stunning snow cladded mountains and the greenery with river alongside. Prefer a two wheeler if possible to enjoy the route to the fullest. The place is overall good with some good views. It has some good options for street food (Maggi etc.). You can also try your hands at paragliding here especially for beginners as the starting height may not be too high. It gets very much crowded here which might steal the overall fun in being at this place. But do travel here for the route. :-)
