At Mahalakshmi Temple, witness how devotees passionately worship the Hindu goddess Mahalaxmi, the central deity of the sacret text called the "Devi Mahatmyam." Look for the statue of the goddess (devi), which the chief engineer dreamt of and actually recovered from the sea during the temple's construction in 1831. Examine the idols adorned with nose rings, pearl necklaces, and gold bangles. If you want to make your own religious contribution, head over to the stalls to purchase flower garlands and make an offering. Even though the site is small, it can get crowded, so time your visit accordingly. Temple is very peaceful but was very much crowded . Should maintain crowd control at temple. Should install police force also for controlling the mass crowd outside the temple. It is taking too long for Darshan. Please ensure that crowd is controlled properly . Keep different entry gates so that crowd gets controlled. See the crowd in the picture.

Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the oldest & powerful temples in the Mumbai. At the entrance Triambakesawr temple will there & the main temple has three idols Mahalaxmi, Mahakali and Mahasaraswati. On weekdays there will be no rush & Separate line for gents and ladies , they've free chappal stand at the temple. The backside of temple had beautiful sea view but it's not clear now because of the coastal project . From Mahalakshmi station you’ll get taxis to reach temple. # Visit Haji Ali Dargah (which is walkable distance from the temple)

Beautiful temple and easily reachable. Weekday the crowd is comparatively less. Lots of sweets shops outside the temple. Parking is an issue if you take your own vehicle. Would suggest use taxis. They will just drop and go. V
