Create an itinerary including Church and Monastery of St Augustine
Stubbornly defying the ravages of time, Church and Monastery of St Augustine remains an icon of Goa and an example of its Augustine history. Don't expect to see too much here--all that remains of the original 16th-century structure is a tower, itself a mostly damaged ruin. • This is a very interesting historical site, with lots of evidence of how impressive the church and monastery must have been. There's an interesting associated exhibition room in the museum nearby...

  • A beautiful ruin with all the ancient stories alive. The rooms for parish hall , convent etc everything is present. The excavation was really detailed. The maintenance is also too good as all the remaining parts are really clean and clear. This is one of the oldest church and compound in whole india. The area is also very beautiful. Must visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
  • It is a really great place st Augustine tower it's really wonderful. It completely worth of visiting and you can take photos but you can't use any stand or anything . Personally in my view they are not preserving good most of the place where full of grass and Moss and other places where just opened and not covered. And other statue getting destroyed by the visitor's it can preserve more good but it still worth of time and it's really amazing
  • Its a beautiful place! Leas crowded as people have to walk for a bit from the church to see this place. The walking path is pretty clean and there is still some restoration work going on. The lawn inside is well maintained. There are no shops outside this place !
  • One of the few amazing places to visit in Goa. This Church is mostly destroyed and it does make us experience the 16th century art work. This place was not crowded when we visited (visited on a weekday). Great place to click nice photos. This place is kept clean and tidy so requesting people who visit this place to keep that in mind and strictly avoid littering.
  • 📍St. Augustine Tower A ruined church complex located in old Goa. It is a part of the world heritage site and is just 500 meters from the Basilica of old Goa. No shooting is allowed inside. No charges for visiting this place. This tower is one of the four towers of St. Augustine church. The church had eight richly adorned chapels and four altars and a convent with numerous cells . This tower was damaged by a lightning attack.Open till 5 pm
