Mahadaji Shinde Chatri, Pune

Mahadji Shinde Chhatri at Wanawadi, Pune is a memorial for Mahadji Shinde. I enjoyed the architecture very much as its intricate designs or art is really marvellous. The entry fee is only 10 rupees per person and even though I visited on the weekend, the place was not crowded at all. The temple of lord shiva was really peaceful. It's a good place to visit with kids, family and friends.

Beautiful and quite place to spend good time with your family or alone. The premises is spacious and interior of the temple is of course amazing. It has Shiv temple inside with a nice nice palace in front of it attached. Ticket for this place for Indians is just ₹10 and ₹100 for others.

Crowd free!!! Place is really very good to visit as we visited. It's exquisite architecture in Anglo-Rajasthani style, The memorial retains its architectural design and beauty till now. The fine carvings and idols of saints on the steeple of the Shiva temple are made of yellow stone and the base is constructed in black stone. The hall of Chhatri not only has carvings and painting, but also has a gallery in it. Coloured window panes used for the windows are of English style. The hall is adorned with paintings and photographs of members of Shinde family. ❤❤❤ But There is time limit of 40 min for the pass to enter this memory. If we excludes the limit we have to take that pass again. It is historical place of maratha empire we can't capture it's beauty within 40 min.

Visited on Sunday... It is dedicated to a Maratha leader, Mahadji Shinde. There is a shiv temple inside the campus. Good place to visit for short time. This place is having a very calm and peaceful vibe. The architecture here is great and it represents great Maratha Legacy. It has 10₹ as entry fee for Indians and 100₹ for foreigners. Have place for sitting. Parking facility is available . DSLR and action camera are not allowed. Photography using Mobile is only allowed.
