Pashan Lake is an artificial lake near the suburb of Pashan, about 12 km from the city center of Pune, India. The lake was built in the British era to accommodate the water requirement of the neighbourhood. The main inlet of the lake is a small river (Ramnadi), which is even controlled by the barrage located to the north of the lake. The river originates from Bavdhan and flows via Pashan, Sutarwadi, Baner to Someshwarwadi before flowing into the main Mula river. Pashan lake has a total catchment area of 40 square kilometres (15 sq mi), and serves as a source of water to the old Pashan village, and the Governor's residence, as well. Recent urbanisation around the lake has led to the fall in the quality of the water.

Its far from the main city around 10 km, but its worth to visit. I visited in the evening it was amazing.

Amazing place for some quality time with yourself, or friends and family. It's wide. The lake view is amazing... The maintenance team should be more focused on cleanliness of the park. White chested hen is beautiful to watch on the greenery of the river. There is ample space to sit and chit chat Or do your work here.

Nice trail by the lake Pathan. There are lot of trees on either side of the trail. The park is open from 6 to 10 in the morning and 4 to 6 in the evening. The view of the lake is good and you can watch lot of local birds and migratory birds in the morning and evening.

Nature is pretty good over here and you can see a variety of birds in and around the lake. However, the lake has not been maintained and majority of the lake is covered with green algae. Also, there are various places around the lake which are polluted with plastic garbage and bottles. Chemical pollutants are released in the lake which gives a not so good feeling. I think some efforts should be taken to maintain this lake.

Great place for a morning or evening walk. Park is built attached to the pashan lake. These photos are from May 2022. Calm and beautiful place perfect for bird watchers.

A decent place for morning and evening jog. There is a trail which has been kept natural surrounded by vegetations and a lake at one side. A separate place is kept for children play area.
