Create an itinerary including Pataleshwar Cave Temple
Visit Pataleshwar Cave Temple, a hermetic rock-cut complex dedicated to Hindu deities Pataleshwar and Shiva. Because of its construction during the Rashtrakuta period (700 to 800 CE), the site now enjoys protection as a religious monument. Explore the circular nandi mandapa, a pillared outdoor hall that stands in front of the cave. Outside of the basalt stone entryway hangs a brass bell, while the cube-shaped inner sanctum decorated with symbols of Shiva calls devotees to pray and make offerings. Visit the museum nearby, especially since it houses a peculiar Guinness World Record holder: a single grain of rice with 5,000 characters inscribed on it. • A very quiet and peaceful religious cave in Pune. Its a nice place and the Goddess are situated within the caves. You will get a nice ambience to sit and pray and the caves allows you to click good pictures. You can visit this place even on weekdays. Its open till 6.30-7 pm.
  • Very soothing and religiously safe place.
  • Pataleshwar Caves situated near Shivajinagar MG road. Nice place to visit when you are in the middle of city and want some quality time to maintain mental peace. Lot of people come here to visit this place specially students to study because there is College nearby.
  • A cave within a city is something you must visit! It's a cave dedicated to lord Shiva and people came to offer prayers and puja here. Being it a tourist attractions the place is well maintained and you will enjoy the stillness yet lively atmosphere of the cave. The grand baniyan tree at the entrance is a remarkable beauty. There is no entry fee to visit this place.
