Renuka lake is in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh in India and it is 672 m above the sea level. It is the largest lake in Himachal Pradesh, with a circumference of about 3214 m. This lake was named after the goddess Renuka and is designated as Ramsar site since November 2005.

    Renukaji is very beautiful serene calm place to visit.we visited with my family on 27 th June.we stayed there for three days.we enjoyed boat riding. Arti of temple. Kids became very happy to see big.....  more

    An offbeat religious place.weather is pleasant in october.hptdc hotel is on the lake, u can njoy boating,roam around the lake, that would cover ur small zoo too.but area is well maintained. Small...

    Wonderful place for a weekend visit. The walk around the lake is simply a refreshing experience. The sound of birds chirping, the noise of monkeys (sometimes frightening too!), The beautiful 🐟 fish in the water (you can see them playing next to the bank/shallow water). Walk is around 4kms and i think i heard someone saying that this is largest lake in Himachal that is not watered by any stream.

    Renuka mata and parshu Ram temple. Not crowded. Lake is in 3 km radius, with lots of fish and tortoise.people feed fish with rusks etc.separate space for male and female for bathing in lake. It 42 km from Poanta sahib. Highway work is under process from Poanta sahib to satton, after that single road starts. Avoid visiting in monsoon . Condition of road get worse due to rain.

    Nice weekend vacation place.Stay available at lakeside. Stays offered by HP tourism and also 2-3 ashrams offer stays at very low price. A must visit place.
