  • One of the most unique and dedicated sanctuary of Blackbuck in Gujarat. The safe haven for the Blackbucks. It's unique grassland feature gives a distinct feeling compared to other usual sanctuaries. You can spot thousands of Blackbucks jumping around with giant leaps and also various species of birds are sighted. While private vehicles are also allowed with a forest guide, an open gypsy gives a much better experience. Although we found they charge 5k for the gypsy which is slightly expensive compared to the area that is covered. However we noticed the guide/driver is familiar with the terrain and the animals. Predators like the pack of wolves and Hyena also share the territory but are often sighted in the early morning. Best time to visit is early in the morning preferably just before the sunrise.
  • Amazing National Park to spot blackbucks. Large open grassland & some part of wetland. Huge area for safari and it is quite enjoyable experience. This place is worth to visit and also not too far from Ahmedabad. We had spent around 2.5 hrs visiting this in open Jeep. --November 2021--
  • had visited this beautiful sanctuary with family, the landscape is amazing. the blackbucks, wolves, wild cats and various birds are a delight to watch. the guides have a proper knowledge of the flora and fauna here. best time to visit is dec-feb.
  • This beautiful, 34-sq-km park that is  an hour’s drive north of Bhavnagar, encompasses large areas of pale, custard-coloured grassland stretching between two seasonal rivers and is famous for its blackbucks – beautiful, fast antelope that sport elegant spiraling horns as long as 65cm in mature males. Some 1800 inhabit the park, alongside blue bulls (India’s largest antelope) and birds such as wintering harriers from Siberia (about 2000 of them most years). There are over 120 species of birds that can be found in the park and around. If you’re lucky, you may even spot wolves! The best time to visit the sanctuary is early in the morning when chances of seeing the wolves are a lot more. In the day, the blackbucks are easy to spot but the wolves are elusive. The pale gold grassland is dotted with clusters of blackbucks. They move around in gendered groups – the males together, and the females and fawns in their own groups. It is good that hiring a guide is mandatory as anecdotes about the animals and life in the village are always fun to know more about.
  • Blackbuck national park More than 2500 Black bucks are there, it's just awesome seeing them running around. When you pass through, they all will start staring at you. Had a great time. Suggested to visit early morning 7 AM Or at 4 PM. Apart from balckbucks, few jackals, neel gaay are also there. Very few birds seen in wetland. You can have an option of driving your own car or Gypsy is also avl whose rental is 2000 Rs extra. Overall had a great experience.
