I wanna revisit this place for its beautiful scenery, fresh air and friendly people. If you plan to climb up here in the afternoon, you'd better bring some snacks and supply enough drinking water because the food stall at the top is already closed. Still, no littering please. Stay gorgeous, dear Punthuk Setumbu!

If you are lucky, it's a nice spot for the sunrise. If it's foggy or rainy you are ... 🪛 Try to avoid the weekend if you are not a "stuck in the crowd" lover. Not to reach by wheel chair and a minimum condition is required. 50000 IDR for foreigners.

Best to get here for the Sunrise and make sure you have a look at the weather forecast. The sunrise can only be seen when its not cloudy or foggy. You need to do small hikes from the parking lot to the top of the mountain (300m away), as its quite steep, recommend you to use proper gear for it. To enter you need to pay Rp 20.000,- for Local and Rp. 50.000,- for Foreigner. You can see sunrise between the mountain with scenery of Gereja Ayam and Borobudur in the distance, quite magnificent.

Similar view with Bukit Rhema Gereja Ayam that offers their own uniqueness and scenic view. This place is very high and they recommend going there during sunrise. The place is very well maintain and the road to the top is very, very smooth.

Definitely worth the very early wake up to be here by 05h30 for the sunrise over the Borobodur valley and between the majestic volcanoes of Merbabu and Merapi. Several other platforms for photo ops. Entrance 50krp. Take care as several of the stairs are slippery. Drinks (coffee!)and instant noodles available for breakfast...
