Lovely setting for photos with a lotus pond in front and temple background. Can get too crowded with selfie takers, though.

On the main street of Ubud, this place is easy to find. It's free - just walk right in and take photos. There's not a whole lot here but it does look cool. Don't expect to spend too much time here.

As with Ubud Palace, defo worth checking out if I’m the area already. Bit wet when we went but still very nice. Photos show it looks stunning at night! Like many places you cannot enter the gate, but very nice to see regardless. Surrounded by water and plants is a nice touch. Starbucks at the entrance. Walk don’t drive as again it’s a nightmare on the street. Free entry!

Saraswati Temple is in midst of Ubud near the market area. It is a temple dedicated to goddess Saraswati, who is the goddess of knowledge in Hinduism. Locals said that ceremonies are held in this temple regularly for students. As tourist we are not allowed to enter the temple, but we can see it from outside. There is a pond outside which is full of lotus flowers and a narrow path leads to the temple. It's adorned with beautiful rock sculptures and artwork. There are no entry fees to go here. You can give it a quick visit while in central Ubud.

The temple interior seems to be closed to public, but the exterior is still incredibly beautiful. It’s a nice pit stop if you are in the area for a quick photo, or having a meal overlooking the lotus pond - view from the lotus cafe looked to be great for this. Don’t know if they have closing hours, but it was still accessible to the public when we went by at 9:55pm!

Took us a while to find this temple as the entrance is hidden in between Cafe Lotus & Starbucks with a ticket counter. We thought it’s a performance venue with paid entrance. It was until we entered Ubud Market and one of the vendor guided us. Magnificent architecture with the scenic lotus pond. Drop by if you are in Ubud town.

Popular temple in ubud city center. Its trademark is the lotus pond at the entrance. The place also hosts various traditional dance performances at nights (tickets purchasable from temple entrance), as such the eateries/coffee house directly facing the temple get extremely crowded. No sarong is required as visitors can only walk the perimeter and not the inside.
