  • Probably the most important collection of Irish historical items collected and displayed in one place anywhere in the world. Over 100,000 items comprising rare books, manuscripts, letters, photographs and more, this extraordinary collection was amassed by one local Ballina man, Jackie Clarke, over his lifetime. Subsequently donated by Jackie’s widow, Mrs Anne Clarke, to the State, the collection is now held on display and under study, in this unique museum
  • Cool place to go and check out. Beautiful well kept garden. Lot's of history and it's free admission.
  • Great place to visit if you're into your Irish history, large collection housed on a wonderful venue, and free to visit. Closed on Mondays.
  • A real gem if you are interested in Irish history artifacts, particularly from 20th century, including independence and civil war. Staff very friendly and helpful.
