  • Some of our party already visited and a few of us decided to go too. You have to climb over several stiles to get there but go as it’s worth it. It’s like a mini Stonehenge full of mystery

  • It is a powerful place, although it is rather unusual layout, having three different units. It is set on top of a mountain, so the views are breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit. It is easy to access on a farm land through a gate. Despite the fact that it is nearly on top of the hill, the land is bogland, really wet, we sank nearly upto the ankles at some points.
  • Easy to find, little walk and you're there. But seems strange to me, the circle does not seem to be pointed to the sunset of the solstice. Almost due north as well as the two tall stones. Not similar to other stone circles, maybe the 1938 excavators we're unable to replace all the stones correctly? Or it was for a different function, who knows? Still gave me chills.
  • Magical circle and standing stones. Breathtaking view.
  • Great spot but directions not great on Google maps which actually brings you to a private residential road showing you can reach it through a field. You need to go a bit further up the hill via the road and you come to a stile. Really nice spot for walkers.
  • google maps is very confusing . Stay on the main road. Go straight past crossroads (ie dont take the left it brings you to a farmhouse). Its ca 200 yards past the crossroads on LHS of road. Theres no proper parking. Stone circle just a 5 min from there.
