    Great little park on the waterfront. Not very big, about a couple of tennis courts in size, but well laid out with flower beds, statues, old guns, old gas light standards and a Victorian bandstand...

    Even when it is quiet on a dull day, this beautiful little park has a lot to offer, looking over the water towards the islands on Cork's lower harbour. At full tide you can see large freighters...

    The memorial park is right next to the Titanic experience in Cobh and on the promenade so worth a visit just for views of the ocean. The park is well maintained and quite a few seating areas as well as a play area for kids. It is nothing spectacular

    In the summer time Cobh looks lille some Mediterranean town with its colourful houses, palms, ports, pier and hilly streets. Perfect town to spend a weekend.

    We/I can sit here literally for hours, with an ice cream or a take-away coffee, watching people on the promenade, boats on the harbour, Spike and Haulbowline Islands, and in the distance Camden Fort Meagher and the harbour entrance.
