  • For my nine year old daughter, these ruins were a highlight of the trip. I guess since we really don't have many places like this in the U.S., the romantic notion of exploring ruins really appeals...

  • I enjoyed walking around the Abbey then walking the grounds behind the abbey. Many walking trails behind the abbey. Beautiful ruins

  • Luckily we found a parking soot right at the abby. We took a nice walk around the grounds. The abby itself was good but did not take more than 20 mins to look around

  • Great place to visit and wonderful experience! A lot of nature and great trails to explore. In the village it is possible to find good restaurants and hotels. I definitely recommend Cong.
  • The living history here is amazing. See Walls from the early 1000s is an unique experience. You shall visit this place when hosted at Ashford Castle. A must seem place
  • A really cool old Abby along the river. We drove up from Galway - well worth the trip, there are lots to see along the way as well.
  • Lovely area. Peaceful. Had a pleasant afternoon.. good to know there were clean public toilets available
  • Nice spot to visit. Very well kept ruins, clean inside and not to modified for tourists. It'ss a great way to enter the forest
