Ballykeefe Distillery, Kilkenny

Cold call today and meet up with Morgan and Jamie. Jamie knows more about packaging than I do 😁 One of the most impressive distilleries I've seen so far and expect great things from them. Well worth a visit as they are very hospitable and welcoming.

If you are anywhere near this place, you definitely need to go see it. If you're not near it, make a road trip. I've seen a lot of new distilleries, and a lot of old favorites, but Ballykeefe stand apart from them all. The people, the place, and the sprits are top notch. Their Poitin is fantastic, and when fully matured, it'll make a fine whiskey to be sure. Their Gin and Vodka are quite good as well. Give them a try, either in person or at your local pub... you'll be glad you did! Tell them Mike from the Irish Whiskey Society of America sent you and they'll let you pet the cows.

Enjoyed a great tour of this up and coming distillery as part of our visit to Kilkenny and area. Morgan and Sarah were warm, hospitable and very knowledgeable - generously sharing their expertise and experience. The tour was personalized and thorough - exactly what we were looking for. We are bringing their Sloe Gin and Spiced Poitin home - looking forward to enjoying them and our memories of a great trip to Ireland

Myself and my wife visited the distillery as part of my 40th birthday celebrations. From the second we got there we were made to feel so welcome. Ive been on many distillery tours but this was so much more personal and informative. A massive thanks to everyone there for making my day so special.

Small family operated distillery. All locally farmed barley for an ultra-local sustainable product. The tour of the distillery was great. The guidel was very knowledgeable about the process and operation. The tasting was lovely.
