Create an itinerary including Coumeenoole Beach
Set against a dramatic backdrop of sheer cliffs, Coumeenoole Beach attracts tourists and locals with its picturesque surroundings and stunning ocean views. The small, secluded strip of golden sand gets even narrower during the high tide. This wild beach is easily accessible from the small parking lot at the top of a cliff. Pay attention to the signboards warning against swimming in the strong currents. You can always dip your feet in one of the shallow pools in the sand. • Love this beach. Especially during off season and violent weather. Great for hiking, but be careful! High gales can set you over the edge to your death. Wear good spiked hiking shoes and mind weather conditions.
  • Beautiful beach with a small spot to sit and get mesmerized by the strong waves. You will get to see alot of photographers lined up capturing the waves thrashing small rocky mountains. Fun fact : some shots of star wars are taken here.
  • Beautiful beach that we caught on the perfect day. Warm weather and cool water. At low tide the beach is huge and the water is shallow a long way out. Clean sand and clear water.
  • One of my favourite little beaches in Ireland and located on the beautiful Dingle peninsula in Co. Kerry. I visit this beach quite often as I am a tour guide.
  • Several people out surfing today when we visited. Plenty of parking, bit of a steep walk down to the beach but it's worth it. Also walked up to Dunmore Head while there. 1 euro per person, trail not too rough or steep and the views from the top are great
