Keem Bay
Escape the bustle of travel with a visit to Keem Bay, considered one of the most beautiful places in all of Ireland. Once the site of a basking shark fishery, the bay now serves as a great snorkeling spot with a Blue Flag beach--meaning it has met strict standards for water quality, safety, environmental education, and information. Historical and natural landmarks surround the bay itself, including an old British army lookout, a booley village (used in the summer to house young family members who bring their cattle to graze on the hillside), and Europe's highest cliffs in Croaghaun. There is little for food or drinks to purchase here, so consider bringing your own. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Keem Bay and many more Achill Island attractions: make an itinerary online using Klarna Trips Achill Island trip maker site.

It's perfect. Without doubt Keem is the most beautiful spot in Ireland from the road up and then down to it, high above the sea, the stunning beach, it's just perfection.

Beautiful area and drive to this beach. Easy enough access for cars it seems camper vans restricted. Unfortunately toilet facilities all locked up.

Absolutely beautiful beach, drive in is a experience as you the pleasure of admiring amazing views. Road is bit narrow so be careful and mind the people traffic around you. During summer there is a beach guard and some facilities available, truck food with something warm to ear. Definitely magnificent place and location.

Beautiful beach, golden sand and clear water surrounded by cliffs. Decent amount of parking. Public toilets available set back from beach up the hill.

An absolutely stunning beach. I had read that this beach was voted one of the best beaches in the world and I was dubious about that claim but when I got to the beach I was stunned to see how magnificently beautiful the beach and bay was. Its certainly helped that the weather was good and the water was azure blue with soft warm fine golden sand. Prepare for a fairly steep decline/incline to and from the beach but its well worth it.
-
Beautiful beach at the end of a narrow road, the scenery is simply outstanding. The beach has blue flag status and no dogs are allowed to avoid pollution.

I had read alot of articles that this beach was a true gem, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I was not dissapppointed, the water was clear the sand was clean and sparkled. There is also small cafe food vans in the main parking lot. If you have a big vehicle I would recommend parking up the top section as space is tight at the very end and you also get the bonus of walking down to the beach and seeing the stunning views. You also have a lovely cliff walk you can do as well
