  • A place that everyone should go at least once in life! I went on one of those open to the public visitor days and it was super interesting. Just outside they set up a 'small' telescope through where we could see Jupiter and it's four bigger moons which was awesome. The house has many rooms with photo exhibition, older equipment and some history around different things like an astronomical museum. In the conference room they made a presentation talking about different subjects through a massive projector screen and it was also open for questions. At the end we were all taken to have a look at the moon through the giant and older telescope (12" refractor, the Grubb) they have in the Dunsink observatory outside and everyone had a go at it!! It's family friendly, lot of kids and it's literally a good gig for everyone, even go alone as I did myself or with friends. Highly recommend, A+
  • Very interesting place, for sure I will be back
  • Turned up to Dunsink Observatory on Culture Night 2018. The place was packed. There was so much to do and look at it was great. The guy in the observatory was so enthusiastic and informative. Well worth a visit.
  • Visited here on Culture Night and was treated to an extremely interesting and enjoyable talk by one of the staff. An amazing location that I had known nothing about.
  • A fantastic piece of history and the nicest group of people you will ever meet. A must visit if you are in Dublin and have a chance
