Wicklow Mountains National Park
With historical sites, walking trails, rock climbing, fishing, and swimming, Wicklow Mountains National Park offers a great day out. Explore Glendalough—valley of two lakes—a 3 km (1.9 mi) tract of verdant greenery, which contains many important ancient buildings and ruins. Visit the monastic city, a series of partially ruined buildings that made up the monastery, which was founded by Saint Kevin in the 6th century. Here you can see the gateway, the round tower, the cathedral, the priest's house, St. Kevin's kitchen, and St. Kieran's church. Visit the upper lake, and walk one the many trails that wend their way through woods, bogs, grasslands, heath, and scree. For rock climbers, try the cliff faces at Miners' Road and bouldering in upper Glendalough. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Wicklow Mountains National Park and many more Vale of Glendalough attractions: make an itinerary online using Klarna Trips Vale of Glendalough trip itinerary planning tool.

A must when visiting Ireland. We did several walks, but highly recommend the White trail, it follows the lake and then up past water falls onto the ridge. In October the deer rut is in full swing...

Nice park to take a stroll. The routes are made quite clear and are easy to follow. There are some nice animals to be seen along the way and some nice short climbs. Not the most challenging hike, but fun if you have some hours to spare! When in Dublin, I would definitely check this out. Nice to get some fresh air sometimes

"County Wicklow has the best views in Dublin" 😂 🌄 A really nice long drive, with so many spots to pull over, go for walks, and enjoy the scenery. You're in for a good chance to spot some wildlife too!

The Wicklow Mountains National Park is a very beautiful and picturesque park to visit especially if you like adventure such as cycling hiking or walking. We did all of those in this national park . We had a blast mountain biking the Ballinastoe mountain bike trails. We also hiked and walked Glendalough the trails and the monastic site. All trails are pretty easy to do and you might even come across some animals such as deer or sheep. The scenery and landscape is beautiful and there is a few lanes such as Guinness Lake I definitely recommend checking out the Wicklow Mountains and the national park . I would definitely come back here again and do all of it again if in Ireland

Absolutely stunning scenery and nice walks to undertake. Would definitely recommend!! There are longer hikes available but would definitely advise taking the full day to complete
-
Truly a fantastic experience and place to spend the day, away from the norm. Clear the head and enjoy what Ireland has to offer such a beautiful country we have.
