  • Beautiful castle. Didn’t pay to go in since we were short on time, but still were able to get nice pictures outside of the grounds.

  • Small but very charming castle, especially during a high tide! Very well restored with furnished rooms and a small souvenir shop. 8 euros entrance fee. The spiralling staircase takes you to different floors as well as all the way to the roof that offers great views of the surroundings. Restroom on site! Definitely a place to visit! (there is a free parking lot ~2min walking distance).
  • Great Castle. If you're coming from Galway/anywhere North, you need to go past it to park (the lot is on the left side of the road). Very interesting castle in great shape. Admission is only $8/person Definitely worth it. Best part was getting all the way up to the top and walking around the tower.
  • A great surprise, out off the beaten track. You can actually go inside and walk around outside. There's a lovely Craft shop upstairs. The town of Kinvana next to the castle is a great place for a stroll and a coffee
  • A well preserved castle easily accessible from Galway City. Each floor of the castle is modeled after a different period of time in its existence. You can travel up the spiralling staircase all the way to the roof where you can look out across the landscape and waterfront. Definitely a place not to be missed if you're nearby!
  • A very enchanting dinner, coupled with some entertaining history. The experience of dining in an old fort and being treated like a noble of yore was unique and a load of fun. All the meals are paced very smoothly. The main chicken and mushroom sauce was amazing, the chicken was tender enough to be shredded with a spoon. The sauce paired nicely with the chicken, potato's and veggies. Parking is available a short walk up the road at the car park. One of my best experiences in Ireland!
