Hit the waves at Lahinch Beach, a seaside resort and popular location for sports like kitesurfing, windsurfing, and surfing. The beach is one of the foremost surfing locations in Ireland, and the site of a world record in which 44 surfers rode a single small wave at one time. Perfect your swing at the 36-hole Lahinch golf club, or explore by cycling, hiking, or pony trekking. Take some time to learn about the area's long history--several earth forts indicate the area was inhabited in ancient times, including a prominent one believed to have been built by Danish Vikings. Take the guesswork out of planning a Lahinch vacation by using our trip itinerary maker.

We loved the boulders going down to the beach. There is a lot of beach between the large boulders and the water. We grabbed an ice cream from spoons and sat on the rocks enjoying the sunshine.

This beach has lots of sand and some interesting tidal basins. Beautiful Atlantic coast setting, especially at sunset.

It was a very warm and calm day when we visited. Maybe this was the reason for little or no waves. That said it was a nice walk along the beach

Beautiful beach.... Depending on high or low tides you may have to walk a little to find a place to put your picnic mat and chill. But it's worth it. You And the kids can play in water. there is a car park (7mmin walk) from the beach which is free ..not sure about the one close to the beach guess you need to pay for it. There in toilet facility. Lots of places to eat and ice cream shops. A Must visit place....

An incredible place. A must for any beach/surf lover. Friendly folk and lots of dining options. Surf rentals and classes available beach side. Amenities close by including public toilets, a playground and leisure centre. A firm family favourite.

Very Busy place, parking is 2 euros for 3 hours if you can get a spot. Tons of surfers. Close to restaurants and shops. There is a great kids playground and the beach of course. Check for high tide as it completely covers the beach which happened on the visit.

Really liked it. Wonderful beach, good parking with contactless payment which was awesome. Amazing food and ice cream. What more do u need?
-
Beautiful beach with lots of parking and all amenities (toilets, cafe etc..).. However would definitely recommend checking the tide times before embarking if you plan to spend extended time on the beach.. We went there in afternoon, around 2 PM and the sea water had already engulfed most of the beach and within next 40-50 mins, what was a beach front turned into a promenade with waves thrashing its walls!!.. Nice little town also with lots of good eating options all very near to the beach/promenade front.. Next time hopefully we will enjoy more beach time..
