Cute little place to have a break. Nice parking across the street. Great place to grab a coffee and a snack for the long road ahead. Many nice wool products and souvenirs. Great energy from the staff and don't be shy to ask them where to go next. They will gladly point you to a new adventure you might not have thought of.

My niece and I took the tour and had a great time. We had thought by the center's name they might have some live sheep. But they only had photos of the different breeds. They did however give us information to contact a gentleman who raises sheep and uses dogs to herd them. The tour itself was so very informative and hands on. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw a short video on sheep and wool in Ireland, then started the hands on tour. He showed us how to card the wool and a drop spindle first. Once he demonstrated each spinning wheel we had a go at it. He showed us a trick he uses for spinning that will really help me with my attempts. It was definitely worth the stop. We also had some coffee and hot chocolate. My niece had the hot chocolate and it was so good she had a second cup. After this tour we went to Killary sheep farm, which the center recommended. We did call it before leaving the center to be sure it was open and what time the herding demonstration was. We heartily recommend looking Tom up at the Killary sheep farm after you visit the Sheep and wool center for the full sheep and wool experience in Ireland.

Hi if you’re around this area, don’t pass by this beautiful centre in Leenane. The wool museum is a must visit. Seamus is knowledgeable, fun & makes you want to start spinning your own wool with his enthusiasm. The shop has lots of irish made produce, local too, which is brilliant, as an Irish person & for visitors. They have a great range of woollen cardigans, hats, bags, T-shirts etc. The cafe is full of savoury & sweet nourishing delights! Pure Yum 😋 The overall service is impeccable. To top it all off it’s an Irish owned & family run business. Áine & Gregg & the other staff are so friendly & knowledgeable on their products. They’re also so helpful to give assistance with directions to other places to visit. Places you may not have even heard about & worth a visit. Give yourself plenty of time to browse around too. Or if you’ve only a few minutes to grab a coffee & souvenir, it’s all there for you. They even post abroad, if you don’t want to carry your gifts. ✨✨✨✨✨ Love this place, hence a returning customer. Thanks Áine & Gregg for all your help. See you soon again. Agnes
