The Roadside Tavern has been run by the Curtin Family since 1893 making it one of the oldest pubs in the Burren area. The current proprietor is Peter Curtin who continues the high standards of hospitality and service set by his grandparents Christopher and Nora, and parents John and Mary.

Home of the Burren Brewery Festival, the Skadoonvarna Festival, Micilin Conlon Festival and all kinds of different music - traditional and contemporary.

Amazing place. Stopped by for dinner and came back for live music that night. Was staying up at the Ritz hotel and noticed the Jameson Crested was 12 euro at the Ritz and only 5.50 euro at the Roadside Tavern. The place has amazing and authentic atmosphere with superb staff. Definitely stop by!!!

Excellent Irish pub with great food. We had the specials of the day..roasted lamb and potatoes along with thick bacon and cabbage. Both excellent. In general the potatoes in Ireland are much better than what is found in the US.

My sister and I were coming back of visiting the Cliffs oh Moher and were heading to Dublin. We ended up in the Roadside Tavern and had dinner, and we are so glad we did!! The food was amazing and the owners were lovely!! I recommend everyone that has a visit planned to the Cliffs to stop by because it is definitely worth a visit! A true Irish place and wonderful people. Thank you,

Visually beautiful food that is also delicious. Cold smoked salmon over potato salad is incentive. Seafood chowder was full of seafood with a delicious cream soup. Cold cider paired well with both and these two appetizers were enough for two people for lunch.
