Joyce Country Sheepdogs, Shanafaraghaun

What a gorgeous activity to do, especially on a lovely dry, sunny day. Joe was friendly and informative. His dogs, lambs and goats were so cute. The view from Joe's home is worth the trip! 😍 A stunning part of Ireland. Peaceful and unspoilt beauty all around. My kids and the adults really enjoyed the experience. Would highly recommend.

Our visit to Joyce country Sheepdogs was a memorable experience and a highlight for all ages on our trip to Ireland. Joe was friendly, full of fascinating facts about Ireland and the history of the area and sheep farming and culture. His dogs were remarkable at the shepherding demonstration, while Joe explained every nuance and behavior. The children in our group - one, four and seven years old, were entertained by the shepherding action, and interacting with the animals. This trip was a real gem. We called in advance to let Joe know we were heading to him on a rainy day.

What a treat! A gorgeous place situated in a picturesque valley between the hills and near a lake. Family owned / managed, sharing their lively pack of sheep dogs, and their routines. Lots of fun for kids and adults alike!

It was very interesting and informative both for adults and kids. We learned so much about what it takes to grow sheep in Ireland and the demonstration with a dog was very interesting. Also, kids enjoyed spending time with sheep and goats at the farm.

Absolutely stunning location! Really enjoyed watching the collie going through her routine and also feeding the lambs. Joe was great, highly recommend a visit.
