  • Went for the 2km walk up the hill behind the lake. Really nice walk, surrounding by greenery. The view at the top over the lake and the surrounding area was gorgeous!

  • Beautiful lough, easy to walk all round it and in the summer you can have a morning swim, bracing as it is. :)

  • Great place for some outdoor adventure, hike, swim, kayak, have a picnic, looking forward to going back again and hopefully try guided kayaking near the caves

  • Perfect for swimming. Great walk uphill with abundance of trees and plants and expanding views on top. Peaceful, beautiful and joyous moments in Nature.
  • Great spot for kayaking in this salt water lake at night during the bioluminescence appearance in the water. Water is full of life so brilliant for marine biologist There is tour with guide available and it's well worth to see it. Water is brilliant for swim too.
  • Lovely place to visit. Nice walks. Beautiful scenery. Lake, sea, wood, farmland, views are all great. Parking is terrible though and gets really crowded. Try going midweek
  • A beautiful lake for relaxing and a good hyke to the top peaceful spot on the lake. Good for daytrip, walking in the forest to enjoy the views. It was Saturday of a Sunny daybso we couldn't get a parking spot easily.
  • Lovely easy enough walk. Took about an hour total if you are fit, including stopping for photos. A good number of parking spots. I arrived at Round 10.45am and it was very empty. When I was leaving at 12 it was getting a lot busier.
