Lissadell House, Sligo

Highlight of visit was the tour by a local guide, real eye opener re life in a big house, not so much upstairs, but below stairs in the servants quarters. Rest of estate was on a ' go your own way...

The guided visit to the house itself was very informative if slightly rushed. It would have been nicer to have longer in the various rooms to take in the photos and artefacts etc but the guide...

We enjoyed the tour and the tour guide was excellent with a great knowledge of everything and very pleasant. We found the grounds very disappointing and lacking care and attention. Signage for the.....  more
