  • The history and art pieces in this museum are incredible. Must visit while in Rome!
  • I met one morning with a friend of mine for work reasons. After talking and planning what to do we looked for a place to eat. After several attempts we moved to Anticoli Corrado with the hope after lunch to visit the Civic Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. And so it was. I had already been but did not remember how extraordinary the museum was. First of all, it is the only art museum in the area within a radius of twenty kilometers. In addition, the collection houses 700 works on three floors including sculptures, paintings and drawings by numerous modern and contemporary artists including Fausto Pirandello, Raphael Alberti, Arturo Martini also author of the fountain in Piazza delle Ville. The fame of Anticoli Corrado and its models is so great that it has interested many important artists, including Arturo Martini, Pablo Picasso and Marcel Duchamp. In this period the museum hosts the photographic exhibition of Emanuele Cavalli. It was a long time since I returned to Anticoli. I knew of its beauties. I was very pleased to revive my knowledge of the place.
  • ...we were there on a tour to discover some of the most symbolic places in the val d'aniene...this little museum is one of the things I liked the most...the history of the artists and models was really interesting. ..the very beautiful village
  • Small is beautiful! I was unable to visit the museum properly, since last night a show with Antonio Gavino Sanna who, an excellent guitarist, sang De Andrè and recited his own poems, with the accompaniment of Marco's violin (whose surname unfortunately I do not know). Full room in the small museum. High-level cultural events, set in the historical and architectural setting of a town as rich in vestiges as Anticoli Corrado and hosted in a structure such as the Civic Museum of Art, attract a lot of competent, participatory and curious public.
  • The Civic Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Anticoli Corrado was officially established on September 15, 1935 by some of the most important personalities of Italian art of the time. The paintings and sculptures present are evidence of the passage to Anticoli of Italian and foreign artists such as Hans Lendorff, William Rothenstein, Adolfo De Carolis, Attilio Selva, Ferruccio Ferrazzi, Edita Broglio, Giulio Aristide Sartorio, Arturo Martini, Maurice Sterne, Ercole Drei , Domenico Ponzi, Felice Carena, Emanuele Cavalli, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Corrado Cagli, Fausto Pirandello, Pietro Gaudenzi, Oskar Kokoschka, Jean Jansem and Eric Hebborn, just to name a few. Currently the museum has more than 600 works, many of which are permanently exhibited in the upper rooms, while, in recent years, in the rooms on the ground floor the works of the museum often leave space for very interesting themed exhibitions, organized thanks to the skilful management and sensitive of the art historian Manuel Carrera. A must visit!
