Cantina Francesco Borgogno, Barolo

This was an excellent wine experience. I was able to call last minute and get a visit for 10 people the day before. She fit us in the schedule and it was great. We tasted 3 wines and she also gave us some snacks to go with it as well. They speak English as well as Italian. As for an easy of finding and setting up it was great. They are able to ship to the USA as well. I would return for sure. And the wine was so good I’ll order when I go through what I bought there.

A very nice welcome from the owner who told us everything about the wine making process and who told us beautiful stories about the wineries history. We also got a tasting of all their wines combined with some meat, cheese and homemade hazelnut cookies and everything was delicious! We bought 6 bottles of wine but we should've bought more. I can definitely recommend going to Cantina Borgogno Francesco to taste everything and listen to all of her interesting stories!

Boutique family winery with superior quality and prices. We had 5 generous tasting pours, I think 4 were Barolos, all delicious, with increasing intensity and fullness. Their flagship is the Brunate, which I’m sure will sell very fast at 25 euro, it’s a steal (Castellero equally amazing and the entire tasting is 15 euro pp, cheese and salami included). After having expensive and rather disappointing tastings at GD vajra (25 euro pp, Enoteca del Barolo ranging from 4-8 euro both offering scant pours , and then La Vite Turchese, which doesn’t let you taste after 6 pm so you have to commit to a glass you may not enjoy) Cantina Borgogno Francesco is an absolute gem! If you truly want bold reds, produced in small batches by a family passionate about their craft, you must stop here.

Fantastic experience and wines! This is a small family winery, and if you visit the big ones - you must visit this one. They really do have amazing wines ans the tasting experience is different and lovely!

Highly recommended, having spent 2 days in the Barbaresco region, its amazing that you can really taste how location matters and how it develops flavours. Great wines!
