Create an itinerary including Museo di Santa Giulia
Home to a historical museum, Museo di Santa Giulia was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2011. After ancient remains were discovered on the grounds, the monastery was converted into a museum for the artifacts' display. View Roman houses that were excavated from beneath the orchard, as well as Bronze Age artifacts that were scattered around the area. You can continue your tour into Romanesque and Renaissance Italy in the basilica, where frescoes painted by Romanino grace the walls. Put Museo di Santa Giulia on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Brescia online day trip planner.

  • A huge museum in former conventual buildings. Ruins of some ancient Roman houses in basement. Loads of exhibits from prehistory to renaissance.

  • Definitely a must-see if you’re in Brescia! I bought the combined ticket with the Parco Archaeologico which I recommend doing! You’re not allowed to bring bags into the museum but there are storage lockers to keep your belongings!
  • In a country as Italy, it is difficult to rate archeo museums. Probably this is not a top destination, but if you are in the area it is worth a visit. Personally find Roman and Longbard exhibits the most interesting ones. Beside the exhibits, the quality of the organization is one of the best in Italy
  • Very well preserved ancient ruins. Long to walk. May take more than 1 hrs for slow walk.
  • AMAZING MUSEUM!!! We paid 10€ per person. There’re lots of things to see and it’s all really organised.
  • It's possible to spent all day! I love this museo!
