Poetta beach, Sardinia, Italy. We are currently still in Sardinia and visited Poetta beach today. We're here from 2nd-9th October 2022, so pretty much out of season. Poetta beach is simply stunning. It's miles of beautiful white sand and crystal clear water. Such a delight to go into the sea with just sand beneath your toes. My only bugbear is the sellers coming up to you every 20 mins ALL DAY. No matter how many times you tell them no, they do not leave you alone. The beach was so quiet and weather was glorious, with a nice breeze, perfect day out. You get your bus tickets from the tobacco shop and they run every 10 mins. Buses PF or PQ. Ensure you get the 15 mins bus as the other one takes you around 1.25 mins!! There were places to eat along the beach and we secured a table no problem 😊

Great beach. It's a lot nicer in person compared to some of the pictures we saw online. Lots of people selling stuff so you're bound to be interrupted a few times. Plenty of choice for places to eat and get a drink

Considering is a beach by a large city its amazing. The sand is clean, the water can be either clear or cloudy depending on the currents. But generally is lovely.

It’s definitely not THE most beautiful beach in Sardinia, but surprisingly nice for a city beach. The water is perfectly clear, white fine sand, clean, there are (free) toilets and showers at the beach, plenty of cafes, free parking right next to the beach at multiple places (which felt safe). I imagine in the summer it might be packed but in September there was plenty of space, not loud at all, the beach goers were all considerate and well-behaved. Since it’s a sandy beach it’s not the most exciting for snorkeling, but there are some spots in the water with a bit of rocks and seaweed where you can find fish and the water is completely transparent and relatively still so great visibility.

Sandy beach with narrow water. You can reach Poetto easily from Cagliari with a lot of buses (5, 5Ze, PF, etc. bus ticket 1.30). On weekends is more crowded but it’s so long that you won’t have a problem to find a spot.
