Museo della Resistenza, Carpasio

Rich, well-kept, excellently usable museum, located in a delightful village and embellished by Mrs. Gabriella, the physical, ethical and historical custodian of the place. Warrior soul in a mantle of kindness, knowledge, availability, passion and professionalism. Thank you. Without this estimable lady, the place would be just another Italian museum: dirty, abandoned, unknown.

A small museum that serves to keep alive the memory and life in an area otherwise destined to be abandoned. It is open from April to October only on Saturdays and on Sundays on weekdays by reservation only. Admission is free Unfortunately, not knowing the times, I could only peek at the photo exhibition from the windows and appreciate the beautiful view of Carpasio that can be enjoyed from the bell placed in front of the museum. Wandering around, in addition to a beautiful garden of wild and aromatic herbs, we also discovered a hollow tree in the chestnut wood that the partisans used as a makeshift shelter for the wounded.

A jewel! Many exhibits with explanations. A dip in the past to savor the history. Thanks to the kindness, education and passion of those who welcomed us.

It truly deserves to be visited. The visit was exciting to say the least, the museum keepers are two exquisite and friendly people, they gave us a very interesting guided tour
