Chiesa Del Monte Dei Morti e Della Misericordia, Catanzaro

The church, built in the late Baroque age, has a Greek cross plan, inscribed in a square. Outside, various elements give impetus to the building. On the facade, smooth and austere, stone lace departs from the late Baroque eighteenth-century portal to wrap around the large window and the surmounting niche that houses the statue of the Virgin and a large window above which a skull placed in a shell has been placed. A date is engraved on the window: 1728. Under the niche of the Madonna is engraved "S. Maria Mater Misericordiae Erga Anima Defunctor".
