    We didn’t visit the inside but the backyard provide spectacular view over the roundabout as well as the town. Great for a short walk any time of the day.

    Entering the city from the east or west, after Piazza Matteotti, Corso Mazzini begins. I walk only 100 m and meet the monumental complex of San Giovanni. It rises on what was the Norman Castle, built by Roberto il Guiscardo. Then a Convent of the Discalced Carmelites was founded, then again it was used as a prison. For about two decades, after a restoration, it has been open to the public. In addition to the external beauty, from the walls, you can enjoy a large part of the panorama of the city from above, with the Bisantis Bridge below me .. Pure spectacle for the visitor.

    Very nice complex full of history. Too bad you can't visit the underground rooms of the old castle and the tower.

    Visited on the occasion of the exhibition of Chagall's works "The Bible". The complex is an architectural jewel in the heart of the city. From the belvedere you can enjoy a wide-ranging panorama.
