    BEautiful arch leading to street where old monastery sits which is now a beautiful hotel. What a classy area of Cherasco. Cobbled street & fine dining.

    Best arch in all of the langhe, other arches have nothing on this one. I walked under it twice and was blow away by how archy and round it was arching over my head in its archful glory

    The arch was built as an ex-voto for the city for having been immune from the plague of 1630-1631. It is crowned by the statues of the Madonna del Rosario and the Saints promoters of the Marian cult.

    As evening falls along the central axis of the village you can see the wonderful arch. It is crowned by the statue of the Madonna by Saverio Frenzi and by statues of saints in terracotta. The Belvedere arch was built between 1647 and 1688 based on a design by Giovenale Boetto from Fossano
