  • Beautiful itinerary immersed in nature. In this period the colors of the leaves are spectacular and it is a real joy for photography lovers. There are some unfortunately abandoned small hamlets, but at Palent there is an open inn and some renovated houses. Definitely to go back.
  • Val Maira is a beautiful Valle Lunga full of activities to do. From the many excursions both easy and for more expert hikers, from rock climbing to horseback riding, mountain biking, winter snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, etc. There are beautiful landscapes, wonderful flower meadows, great peaks, lakes. During the excursions you can meet flocks and cows grazing, in the highlands chamois, ibex and roe deer. It's not hard to see the eagles. There are excellent taverns and shelters. Rebuilt villages in the valleys are worth a visit, I recommend Morinesio, just outside the village there is the sanctuary of Santa Maria, a beautiful church built on a cliff. In Elva there is the pels museum, the history of the trades of the past such as the collection of hair to make wigs sold in Paris. Absolutely to visit the church of Elva with wonderful frescoes .... there are also the Stroppia waterfalls, the highest in Italy. this is Maira valley...a love of green valley
  • Wild, pristine and spectacular valley!!!!! It breathes peace and offers a lot, but don't go too many!!!!!😄
  • If you are looking for a mountain experience in harmony with nature, you will have to (want to) do without supermarkets, lifts, fast food and mass tourism in Valle Maira! Nothing is fully developed here, it takes sweat and effort to experience the wonders of nature with all your senses, by which I also mean the people who, in solidarity, give their barren homeland its charm and magic. A (secret) tip for all (moderately few) who want to experience something worth protecting.
  • For long and short walks For natural shows For glimpses of enchantment
