L' Arte de' Ciompi Firenze
Shop for unique presents at L' Arte de' Ciompi Firenze, a gift store selling handmade leather, wood, and paper. Inspired by the 14th-century Florentine tradition of arti minori, the artisan and owner brings to life these time-honored crafts in a small workshop setting. Browse through playing cards, jewelry boxes, leather-bound books and notebooks, hand-painted wooden boxes, olive wood fountain pens, and puppets. Friendly staff are happy to chat about Florentine history.

absolutely 5 star, one of the best handmade shops in Firenze. Run by family more than 3 generations, everything is elegant and authentic, made by heart. Bought a glass keeper(23.5) and a wallet(34.5) both leather, and two postcards(1.5). Perfect ending of my Firenze trip! There are many other beautiful handmade crafts in the shop, a must visit!

If I could live in here, I would. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I felt like I have to for this place! Everything in the store was handmade and so beautiful. You could see the craftsmanship and care that they put into every single piece. In lieu of generic souvenirs, I would recommend checking this place for local craftsmanship goods! You can get something as small as a fairy postcard at €1.5 to a hand crafted journal at €38. They incorporate Florentine materials and history into their goods beautifully.

Did you know Florence has its own handmade tarot maker?! I squealed in delight when I found this store selling their Tarocchi Marsigliesi (Tarot of Marseilles) where the cards are made with recycled leather! It comes with its own genuine leather case with the Roman god of wine, Bacchus, as the cover. It is so fitting to get a set of leather tarot card in a city known for their world class leather craftsmanship. Of course, when I saw the stunning Sola Busca tarot next to it, I had to get my hands on it too. How can I resist buying one of the original Italian tarot cards from Italy! L’arte dei Ciompi Firenze is a family owned leather and paper good craftsman shop where all product is 100% hand made inside their studio. The shop keeper, Sara, is one of the original creators and it was so lovely meeting her and learn about the history of the Sola Busca deck from her. This is definitely one of my highlight experiences in Italy so far!

Arrived in Florence today. Decided to search shops up on google, and this family owned shop came up. The lady was very kind and explained how things were made. I really enjoyed looking through your shop. After buying cards, unfortunately, they were stolen an hour later, so i had to return and buy some more. These products are worth every penny! And the store is just beautiful! If you love playing cards, this is the store to buy them! They are great quality! Highly recommend this store. Very professional.

Hands down our favorite artisan shop in Florence. The detail and heart put into every piece is incredible. It’s family-owned, everything handmade, and the charm is off the charts. I wish we could have taken one of everything home with us! The sweet shop owner was so kind and helpful as we browsed and admired her artwork and detail. This is a must-see if you are looking for something totally unique, charming, and created by a local artisan.
